What is Hypnotherapy?

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It does induce a very relaxed state and when in this state, your awareness will actually be greatly enhanced. Your conscious mind will be suppressed and the desired subconscious mind is revealed. Once in this state, I am able to talk to you at a much deeper level and the desired change will become firmly planted within you.
Hypnotherapy is a kind of psychotherapy...hypnotherapy works to re-programme behaviour which is rooted within the mind. It enables the behavioural state to collapse such as; phobias, negative beliefs, suppressed emotions, lack of confidence etc.
As your mind releases itself from conscious control, your breathing will naturally slow and your pulse rate will also naturally slow. You will be in a calm and deeply relaxed state.

A little science behind it
Hypnosis works by altering our state of consciousness. During the process, our analytical left-hand side of our brain is slowed down, the non-analytical right-hand side then kicks in and becomes much more alert. Since our subconscious mind is set deeply within us, our instincts and insight come into play and it is this much deeper level which can be influenced and harnessed to make the required change. Powerful stuff!
